Finlay Lockie’s expertise spans shipping and asset finance, workouts, finance leases, marine insurance and banking.

Working in the City from 1988 to 1995, Finlay acted primarily for banks (with syndicated lending a specialty) and ship owners. His work included export finance and newbuilding contracts, whilst he developed a significant owner's practice. In 1997 Finlay left legal practice to found a shipping company and was in charge of deck and engine room maintenance, the company's Safety Management System as well as its banking relationship, insurance and chartering of ships.

His consultancy brings to Campbell Johnston Clark a rare combination of experience in legal practice and commercial management.
